New Staircase With Glass Bannisters
A recent project that Nightingale Joinery undertook was a brand new staircase that featured glass bannisters for a domestic customer. We drew from our years of experience in the industry and crafted an elegant solution that would transform the look and appeal of their home.
We have had the pleasure of working with this client for a number of years, providing joinery products for their home. The latest project was to replace the staircases from the basement to the first floor.
The existing staircases incorporated newel posts and spindles. While elegant, this created a dated style that the client wanted to update to something with a more contemporary appeal. The brief was to provide a minimalistic Oak staircase with glass bannisters and no central newel posts.
Glass Bannisters
The staircases with glass bannisters incorporated drop-down risers, tenoned treads and Oak frames landings. This was designed to open up the space and make it feel less cramped.
The stairwell was fronted with a two-storey glazed screen which allowed natural light to flood the space. By using glass bannisters, also known as glass balustrades, we achieved a stunningly contemporary staircase design.
